My story has taken many twists and turns, and it has provided me with a multitude of successes and failures, both of which have taught me valuable life lessons.
I have experienced love, loss, laughs, and loneliness. My story has only been able to sustain itself because of those around me, providing guidance, support, and encouragement.
As a young man, I knew that working with children would provide me with the joy and passion that were integral aspects of any career that I would eventually choose. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development, I moved to Beijing, China to work with international elementary students.
For seven years I grew, both personally and professionally, as I learned and loved a new culture and met amazing people from all over the world. Living in a foreign country allowed me to experience differences in culture, language, family, and education. More importantly, however, I learned about the commonalities that we, as human beings, no matter where we come from, share and the common struggles that we overcome as we forge our path and write our own story.
My journey has taught me that no two people are the same and no two people react the same.
However, everyone’s feelings are valid, and everyone deserves someone who cares; someone who listens, provides feedback, and someone with whom they can share their story.
