My story is filled with broken pieces, terrible choices, and ugly truths.
It’s also filled with a major comeback, learned lessons, peace in my soul, and a grace that saved my life.
I was worthy of getting help. I came to realize that I didn’t want to die. I just wanted my life as I knew it to end. It was my goal to one day tell my story of how I overcame what I was going through and allow it to become part of someone else’s survival guide.
In the early years of my career, I became passionate about working with depressed and hopeless individuals by offering crisis intervention and suicide prevention services. Throughout my experiences in the field, I began to recognize the influence family support had on positive youth outcomes. I have focused my continuing education in youth and family services and have settled my interests on working with those between the ages of 3 and 35.
Outside of my practice, I am an active volunteer for the Family Advocacy Outreach Network which is a division of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. In my role, I provide therapeutic services pro bono to the families of missing and/or sexually exploited children.
